Exit strength check
Lenders judge a bridge by where it lands. Answer eight questions and see how your exit plan looks from the other side of the desk, and what would make it stronger.
What makes a bridging exit strong?
Every bridging lender asks the same three things about the exit: what repays the loan, when, and how sure you can be. The check scores those, plus the two things that protect everyone if the plan slips: equity and a plan B.
- Specific beats general. "The sale of our Wetherill Park unit" is an exit. "Business should pick up" is not.
- Paper beats promises. A signed contract, an approval letter or a lodged claim moves an exit from hopeful to credible.
- Buffer beats optimism. Terms sized to the slow case avoid extensions later.
- Two exits beat one. If the first slips, a second property, a refinance or a realistic price cut keeps the bridge standing.

Exit check questions
Why does the exit matter more than my credit score for a bridging loan?
Because a bridging loan is repaid by an event, not by years of monthly repayments. A lender's main question is whether that event will happen, for enough money, by the time the term ends. Credit history still matters, and past issues are considered case by case, but a weak exit is the most common reason a bridge doesn't stack up.
Is a low score a no?
No. It shows where the plan needs work. Many owners strengthen an exit in a week or two by getting an appraisal, lodging a claim, or getting a refinance assessment started.
Do you store my answers?
No. The check runs entirely in your browser and nothing you select is sent anywhere. If you want to talk it through, the enquiry form asks its own short set of questions.
What's the difference between an exit and servicing?
Servicing is how the loan's costs are met while it runs. The exit is how the loan itself is repaid at the end. Bridging lenders look at both, but the exit carries the most weight.
